Napster is going on tour to promote the consumer launch of the
world’s first portable subscription service. I think someone in their marketing dept. is watching too much American Idol. Napster will convert “hip venues”
in New York, Austin, Los Angeles and Nashville into Napster To Go Cafes and
give away “free fills & refills” of digital music along with iriver, Creative
and Dell MP3 players. The four city tour will offer music fans free Napster
To Go subscriptions to “fill up” their devices, as well as “free fills and
refills” of instant coffee, sorry I meant “gourmet coffee” (all while supplies last). If you stopped yawning and give a care the Napster To Go tour schedule is as follows:
New York, NY March 9th
Coffee Shop
29 Union Square West
8pm – 10pm
Austin, TX March 17th
Speakeasy – private SXSW party with Carson Daly and
MTV’s Bam Margera
10pm – 4am
Los Angeles, CA March 30th
Mel’s Drive-In
8585 W Sunset Blvd
8pm – 10pm
Nashville, TN April 4th
Jackson’s
1800 21st Ave S
4pm – 6pm
