Expensive for a streaming audio system, but has unique features and an elegant design other systems lack.
Score: 4/5
While pricey compared to other digital single-room audio receivers, the multiroom Sonos Digital Music System is currently the slickest solution for affordably distributing your music throughout the house.
score:8.3/10
The Sonos is an impressive digital-age multi-room music system that gives you room to grow
score: 8.5/10; Editor’s Choice
There’s no doubt that Sonos has delivered a unique and exceptional product, but the price is simply too much for majority of the users. Apparently the message is clear, Sonos has designed the product only for the serious audiophiles who must have music embedded throughout their house. However, Sonos has started a tradition of excellence with their digital music system, and we hope that others will follow shortly on Sonos’ route to deliver products that are hassle-free and simply work right out of the box.
This is a really cool, functional, well-designed system that delivers on its promises. Now you’ll be free to concentrate on other problems you didn’t know you had—just as soon as a clever company identifies the solution.
Sonos is without a doubt the crème de la crème of wireless home multi-room/multi-zone music systems. Even the custom installed hard-wired audio systems or media center PCs can’t beat Sonos. The bottom line is if you want music throughout your house, you have to get Sonos!

We haven’t seen a system that so effectively combines digital music, wireless convenience, ease of use, and gadget-lust fun.

I like your article, I bought one when it was released in the UK from http://www.cdlabs.co.uk The system sounds great and they converted my CDs as part of the package. I find that I am listening to music I never knew I had…. and it follow me arround the house, whever I go I have my music!!
