Talking Wine LabelsStumble This

If you’re in a restaurant in Italy and the bottle of wine starts talking to you, don’t worry, you’re not drunk (not yet). Starting in November, Modulgraf, a Tuscan graphics and printing company, will start embedding chips into paper labels allowing information to be broadcasted through handheld devices. The device which is based on RFID, will allow you to listen to information about the production history of the wine, kind of food it should accompany and it can even play music . None of the wine manufactures have signed up yet but some have expressed interest. Modulgraf is hoping the talking wine label will be in restaurants, wine stores and vineyards.

Interesting blog. I agree, custom wine labels and labels in general have become more prevelant in the market place. Given the fact of low cost digital printing, we can now print only one sheet (10 labels) at a competitive price.

We at http://www.bottleyourbrand.com specialize in personalized wine labels and beer labels.
