During my recent disconnect from the electronic world I discovered a new medium, print. This is when I discovered an interesting gadget thanks to Men’s Journal . Yale researcher Marc Abreu has come up with sunglasses that “exploit a phenomenon called brain temperature tunnel”.
The TechXtreme glasses have a small, flexible probe which takes readings from the nose, indicating the temperature of the brain (therefore body core) while you exercise and relays the data via Bluetooth to the included wristwatch. Sending you red flags (or yellow flags for NFL fans) to take it easy, or meet your maker.
“Abreu hopes the system will help prevent heat injury in everyone from adventure racers to preseason football players.”
