Looking for a new PAD(aka an R/V). It has to have all the essentials,Direct TV, XM radio, LCD TV, Satellite Wi-Fi, security, OnStar and for an added bonus a teraflop of on board memory. Well if GMC has it way, work parking lots will be filled with this uber-cool concept car. The GMC PAD was the winner of the LA Auto Show vehicle design contest and it is not hard to see why. The GMC PAD features a Diesel-Electric hybrid system, which also acts as a generator for the onboard power and 6 M-Sq of photovoltaic cells that collect and store solar power. For those private moments it has electronically variable exterior glazing. All the other usual R/V amenities are also present like water, kitchen appliances and a personal spa. Ah yes, the rough life.
