Here is some more info on the MoGo MouseBT that we posted last month. Just a refresher, the Mogo Mouse is a Bluetooth-enabled mouse that stores and recharges inside your laptop’s PC card slot. The details that have just surfaced are that it will recharge in less than an hour and it will sell for $69.99 .

That’s nice that it charges in an hour, but how long does it *last* after that charge?

In regards to how long the battery lasts? The answer is, I do not know. I sent an email to the company yesterday in regards to that very question. When I find out I will post an update.

It would be nice if the PC card charger for this mouse also included Bluetooth for the 90+% of laptops that don’t have Bluetooth and will have to add another dreaded dongle.

Every bluetooth product should be should without a dongle. If you want one, buy one of the many available at your favorite store.
I’ve actually decided not to purchase some gizmos because they included a dongle, and that made it too expensive.

It should be able to charge through bluetooth…then it’d be tight….

Right, it goes into your PMCIA slot and recharges there. No need for a charger. Nifty, but I’m concerned I’d break it or it wouldn’t flow very well. Doesn’t look very comfortable in the hand, though the idea is commendable.

Only problem I see… your computer needs to be on for the pcmcia to be powered… So to charge it your system has to be on, but I’d want to USE it when my system is on! charge when the thing is in my pocket, a la timex, motion charging

I can see it now:
Are you charging a mouse in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I saw product at CES show in Las Vegas and it’s really quite different than normal mouse. When you grab it your hand feels very normal and movement if nature, almost glides across table. The battery on full charge last over 15 hours in normal use. Does not appear to be issue as most people would use for 3-4 hours and put back in and be fully charged again in 10 minutes. I will be getting one of these guys and buy additional bluetooth dongle as my laptop does not have bluetooth internal..
