In the kitchen world, hexagon is the new cool. The Kuppersbusch Electric Honeycomb Cooktop uses a series of hexagon shaped flush-fitting built-in glass ceramic cooking elements to get your grilled cheese ready. To keep the counter top looking sleek, the cooktop uses a touch-sensitive interface in lieu of control knobs. The heating elements can detect when a pan is placed on and turn on a dual burner depending on the size of the pan. You can have up to 6 heating elements in 25 different layouts. Price: Uber-expensive, the control interface is $1750, heating elements $550-$650
