Now a days, the only way the VCR stays alive is by tagging along with the DVD. Sharp knows that you need at least three to have a party and decided to take the VCR/DVD combo and add a 250 GB HDD drive. Getting a hold of Sharp DV-ARV22 3-in-1 (info. in Japanese) recorder will not come cheap with a price tag of approx. $1280 (or ¥150,000). Due for release March 15th in Japan.
