I first came across Eiji Morikawa, the 28-year-old electrical engineer in last months Wired magazine. My 30 second search attempt back then led to no results but the fine people from the OhGizmo crew got a hold of the picture I was looking for and some information. Basically, Eli has designed some unique accessories that turn gamers into superbeings. He refers to his designs as Periborg, one part peripheral, one part cyborg. Two of his ideas, the Ore-Commander (#3 on the picture) and Shock-C (#4 on the picture) have hit the market in Japan.
My personal favorite is #5, the Electric-Wang Show.
This unfortunately named device can display scrolling messages like “Looking for opponents” or “Bring me a Coke.” It’s a great way to communicate with other humans without looking up from your precious, precious game.
for more info on what all these crazy contraptions do, check out OhGizmo or Wired
