Boomer, The Tennis Playing RobotStumble This

For the latest info on the coolest gadgets, emerging technology and wired madness, subscribe to our full news feed or have it delivered to your inbox. Always free. Always unique. Thanks for visiting!

Boomer is not your average tennis ball machine. Boomer is the first tennis ball machine you actually play against. By using a computer and camera, the robot can play and interact to give a player the feel of a real opponent. He even acts as a ball boy when it is your turn to serve by tossing 1 or 2 balls and directs you to which court to serve from.

Boomer can serve, return, play out a point, call the lines and the score, rate the quality of your shots - even talk trash - and can do it any level of ability, from rank beginner to world champion.

Price:$14450 or rent your new tennis friend for $600 a month
