Take Your Bed For A Test DriveStumble This

Take a slightly modified and steel reinforced ‘off the shelf’ wooden bed, add a severely shortened chassis and you have the base for a Street Sleeper that can hit top speeds of 69 mph. The fully air conditioned car uses a 4 speed Volkswagen 1800cc,75 hp engine with manual transmission and is RWD. Besides the usual standard equipment like washable drapes and rear view mirrored ceiling it also has front disc brakes.

From the site:

Hidden under the duvet are conventional controls, however, a fixed seat position required an adjustable pedal assembly. The fuel tank is replenished via a hot water bottle at the foot of the bed.Four point harnesses and reclined bucket seats prevent the driver and two very close friends falling out during the night!
