Adding some punch to your bicycle ride will be easy thanks to Revopower and a water-bottle full of gas. The Revopower wheel contains a 23cc, 2 stroke internal combustion engine that is less than 3 inches thick. The wheel fits nicely in your bike’s front fork and is controlled by a throttle attached to the handle . The 1.1 horsepower, 26′ wheel weighs 15 lbs and can reach speeds of 20 mph and will get you 200 mpg. To use the engine, just start pedalling, squeeze the throttle and hope no one notices when you try to qualify for the tour de France.
Popular Science has two important tips to remember when using the Revopower:
Bring your driver’s license [the engine may trigger regulations in some states], and don’t drink the water bottle.
Price:$400 available in early 2007
