I keep buying my boyfriend every golf gizmo there is. I keep buying him luxurious golf clothes and myself the cutest in women’s golf apparel but I think he is using golf to keep away from me. He suggested I take lessons last year and he won’t ever even play with me. How can I get good fast so he will spend some time with me? Or is there something even cooler I can buy him that will make him want to golf with me?

Marge, he’s not playing with you because you will undoubtedly be terrible at the game as everyone is at first. It can be unbearable playing a round with a beginner. They hold up play, they don’t know golf etiquette, and they have to hit the ball so damn often that they get tired and cranky. So I’d take his advice. Take lessons…IMPROVE…and then he’ll enjoy competing or having you as a partner.

Hoi Marge - your boyfriend is trying to get some peace and quiet away from you. Stop chasing him. If he wants to play with other men, then I think you should spend your time elsewhere. Take your opportunity to have some ‘activity’ of your own with other people who might be more interesting. Maybe he’s asking you to get lessons to improve your swinging
