World’s Largest Crossbow

Brian Walker has a grand plan, which is to shoot himself 20 miles into the air from what might be the world’s largest crossbow (24 feet) while sitting on a homemade rocket. The project, code name,R.U.S.H (RAPID UP SUPER HIGH) uses rockets that provide up 1,350 pounds of thrust and a comfortable 10 gs. Since going up is only half the journey, on the return portion of the trip, he uses hydrogen peroxide rockets to slow down his trip back to earth. If you were wondering what does one wear on a journey to the earth’s stratosphere? the answer is, a $15,000 surplus Russian space suit of course. Walker is hoping to visit the final frontier this fall after a test run using a fiberglass arrow, that’s if the FAA gives him the thumbs up.
