A Bank With A Life Of Its Own

The Bank of Life

Here’s a piggy bank with a twist: The Bank of Life has an LCD on the front displaying a little tiny digital person whose quality of life depends on how much money you’ve saved. At first, he’s living out of a shoebox without a cent to his name. As you add money to the bank, he upgrades to better and better housing. When the bank’s full, he’s living in a luxury apartment! If that doesn’t get across the value of saving money, what can?

Sadly, the bank is designed to accept only Japanese 500-yen coins, and is only available in Japan right now, at a price of about $40 U.S.
