CityPixel – Not A Normal Social NetworkStumble This

CityPixel
CityPixel is not an ordinary Social Network Website, the name speaks for itself and this is seriously an internet city made of pixels in which you can interact with other users, make friends, enemies, even girlfriends if you are lucky enough.

The name of this peaceful city is PixelYork, after signing up and becoming a member there are plenty of things you can do like renting your own apartment; get some uber furniture to make it look cool; chat with other people that are inside your apartment; create a profile to display personal information; you can even leave the rented apartment and check new buildings to get a new home.

It can be considered a junior version of SecondLife, a really junior thing if you know what I mean… Anyhow, I already created my UberReview persona on this virtual world which is a free thing to do, will you join me? Consider it a special way of using myspace/hi5/whatever social network you use on the net.

Even the televisions and the video game consoles in the apartments are linked to YouTube and able to play live video feeds.

Sounds a lot like Habbo Hotel.

A clone! Now which one is the original?

It’s nothing like Habbo, in my mind. I don’t recall any video sharing or gaming on Habbo, and in PixelYork there are apartment and office cubicles, and all the furniture is free. It’s a cool spin on social networking. Habbo is more like puzzle pirates lite.

Wow! I just joined, very cool. Thanks Tiago.

Seems Haboo you walk around a building and citypixel you walk around the whole city…

Very cool…I have always been a big fan of habbo, but felt like it was missing something and I think citypixel.com provides that extra something, like custom apartments…awesome! Just spent over an hour recreating my room, how fun!

Tiago, thanks for sharing this great little secret on the net.

Very cool site. I signed up a few days ago, and have been earning free ‘pixels’ daily. I just bought an elephant for my apartment. Yup, an elephant.
