Electrolux, makers of many fine devices that really suck (dirt off the floor, that is), has released a small amount of information about a design concept for the new product they’re calling DustMates. They’re a pair of shoes equipped with a small vacuum motor and dirt reservoir in the soles, so that as you walk around, they clean the floor.

Wear these for a while, and your house will be slightly less dirty, you’ll always be listening to the pleasant headache-inducing whine of a vacuum, and you’ll have to regularly stop to empty your shoes. Sounds like a winner of a product to me!
