About 3 months ago Google bought YouTube for a couple of millions, and yesterday it seems they were showing off their cards with the first step in the right direction on how to make the giant video website – YouTube – work in coordination with the giant search engine – Google.
How can YouTube make Google better?
Easy, just make the search results of Google Video have content from YouTube, simple isn’t it? This new feature was announced and launched yesterday, and I must say it is a great addition for the already popular content and images searches.
The search results on Video Google show some information about the YouTube videos, such as:
- title
- user who uploaded
- length
- date
- rating
- description
- URL
- preview thumbnail image
On top of that, it also has one very useful search feature that isn’t available on YouTube, which is being able to search for videos taking in consideration the length. For example, you can search for Short (4 minutes only) Medium (4 to 20 minutes) or Long Videos (more than 20 minutes).
