Interactive 3D Ant Farm

A pheromone is a chemical released by one animal that affects the behavior of another animal of the same species.

The Interactive 3D Farm expects you to start understanding a bit about ant communication and how it works, in case you didn’t know this kind of communication is related to pheromones.

What can you do on the farm? How can you interact with the ants?

Simulate a pheromone trail
Create more ants
Zoom in and out
Show or hide the pheromone tunnel
Check alternative cams such as the Ant Cam or the Map View
Control the action by speeding it up or slowing it down

PS – While visiting the 3d site my browser of choice – Firefox – freezed and RAM memory used by it got up to 150MB, I hope that doesn’t happen with you…
