The MoonEstates is a company located on the UK with the exclusive rights to sell parts of the Moon or any other satellites/planets like Venus or Mars. I know this doesn’t make any sense because to start with no one owns the moon, and you can’t sell something you don’t own.

But the explanation for the moon ownership is on their website, basically the company got a deal with the Lunar Embassy and also with the person – Dennis M. Hope – who actually filled a declaration for the moon (venus, etc) ownership.

Anyway, each acre plot on Moon/Mars/Venus costs £20 with taxes included, which gives a value close to $39. If you decide to supersize it with a ten acre parcel, they will give you a discount rate.

Who are you going to trust when we (humans) need to start living in other planets? Who will make sure that buyers receive the acres? Probably no one…
