Standing approximately 1 foot tall, Spyke is the Wi-Fi spy robot to build.
Spyke is usually a good name for a dog, but the creators decided to make a robot with the same name, and it isn’t a normal robot - it is one with Wi-Fi, a video camera and much more.
The Wi-Fi is one of the best features, besides being able to reproduce music it can work as a surveillance system by using the camera and taking photos that are afterwards sent to your email. With the wireless feature you can also use the robot as a VOIP phone, and last but not least, Spyke can be controlled on the internet or via the local connection - all this connectivity fetures should say thanks to the included Wi-Fi card.
Other normal features that most robots also have:
- Returns to recharging station automatically when battery is low
- Motion sensors activate automatically when something happens
More info about Spyke’s features and specifications.
UPDATE:The retail price will be 269$ in the USA
Price: £199.95 and should be available 04/09/2007
