The Face Of Tomorrow – Globalization On IdentityStumble This

The Face Of Tomorrow

The Face of Tomorrow is a concept for a series of photographs that addresses the effects of globalization on identity.

What do you get when mixing the photos of all the persons in a certain city? You get the face of tomorrow, which is what the person “of the future” on that city will look like.

It is a great mix of different cultures that result in a good looking final image, at least for the most part… The image you are currently seeing is the Face of Tomorrow of Brazil, more exactly in São Paulo, but while visiting the website there are more locations you can pick, like: Buenos Aires on Argentina; Sydney on Australia; Hong Kong in China, etc… Instead of looking at individual images, you can make a selection of 2 to 4 cities and view them all at the same time, which offers a better “meaning” of the whole “thing”.

Interested in this peculiar project? If so, you can contribute by adding your own city and following their rules.

Pretty strange? Most probably, yes, but the working mode is simple:

In each city I take 100 photos of people in one specific location. I then divide these into male and female and from these I make a composite face.
