Origami TV Remote Control Interface

The Origami TV Remote Control is one of the most unique uses for an origami I have ever come across.
From the site:

It enables children to learn only the essential functions such as “Channel Selection” and “Volume Control” through a paper playing method. The prototype was developed from 1-week Electronics and 1-week Software workshop and a wireless sensor board and Max/MSP are used as main tools.

That’s a really creative way to do something new with something that’s so frustrating at times…the TV remote.

Kids dont need to learn a tv remote control at a young age anyway! Does it tear? Can you write on it or color things? Cause thats what kids want to do with paper anyway(is it paper?). Do you want your kids to be cable repair men at the age of 3? Cause thats whats going to happen. Besides they need to be outside being productive…ie; playing in the dirt, eating worms, selling crack cocaine.
