That most romantic of all the commercially-invented holidays, Valentine’s Day, is quickly approaching, but I bet you haven’t even started to think of what sort of romantic gadgets to give your sweetie. Never fear! The Uber-Review is here to help you out, with our Mini Romantic Gift Guide. Packed chock full of (five) cute, thoughtful and family-friendly gifts, there’s undoubtedly something for every special someone out there.
Smittens

When you’re out walking with your partner in the chilly winter temperatures, holding hands could be a good way to try and keep your hands warm, but your big, bulky mittens or gloves usually get in the way. If you’re wearing Smittens, however, you can keep your own hands as well as your love’s hands warm. The conjoined, shared center mitten allows you to keep a tight grasp on his or her hand while still being protected from the cold air. $32 to $36, $34 as shown.
Self-Stirring Mug

It sure is romantic to snuggle with your love in front of a roaring fireplace, drinking hot cocoa together. But there’s nothing that kills the mood faster than having to constantly stir your beverage, distracting you from the all-important business of cuddling. With a pair of these handy Self-Stirring Mugs, you can do your stirring with the simple push of a button, allowing you to focus on the task at hand. $22.
My Beating Heart Pillow

Sadly, sometimes you and your guy or gal have to spend time apart. On the occasions when you can’t be together, holding a My Beating Heart Pillow close to your chest will give you the sensation that your partner is in your arms, as you feel the rhythmic thumping of a heart next to your own. Feel comforted and soothed as you think ahead to the next time you’ll be able to hold each other, and meanwhile enjoy holding your own heart-shaped pillow. $120.
Slanket

To keep your loved one warm through these chilly February nights, a blanket is a handy thing to have. But as soon as you want to do something like read a book, play a videogame, or snack on chocolates and champagne, you have to take your arms out of the blanket’s comforting warmth. This won’t be a problem if you and your love each have a Slanket! With a pair of snuggly sleeves sewn right into the blanket, you can stay all warm and cozy while still interacting with the world around you. $48.95.
iPod Shuffle loaded with romantic tunes

If all else fails, you can go the tried-and-true romantic mixtape route… but kick it into the modern age by buying your guy or gal an iPod Shuffle in their favorite color, and fill it with romantic tunes from your music collection or one of the myriad online music stores. $79.

Nice review, Ryan, haven’t seen much of your writing lately. But couldn’t you just sew these with some fuzzy cloth (fuzzy side in) and save $34?

Probably, but I’m no good at sewing!

I don’t know how romantic a self-stirring mug is… but I still want one
