Question: What do you do with an unwanted indoor pool?( I wish I had this problem) Answer: Turn it into a incredible home theater system. This transformation worked out great because the sloped floors are great for stadium-style seating and you can hide all the wiring in the pool’s existing plumbing systems. The AV system includes a 106-inch Draper screen suspended from the room’s ceiling and a Marantz mounted projector. My favorite part of the setup is that they kept the pool ladder and the steps “to give the home theater a unique look and feel.”

I thought I was the only person who had converted my indoor pool into a home theater! My “pool” made a better ht room than the room that had initially been designed to house the system. With a 16 foot wide, cinemascope screen, we never go to the movies anymore. We use a 3 chip DLP projector and our audio system is a hybrid, with consumer pre-amp and commercial cinema speakers from JBL. You can see pictures of the theater at my website. AdmitOneCinemaDesign.com Take it easy. PS- I am not in business anymore but I keep the site up to showcase my screening room.
