Now here is an interesting device for security purposes, it is a face recognition sysem called VisionAccess 3D Face Reader which was developed by Bioscrypt.
It can authenticate a face pretty fast, it only takes less than one second. The working mode is simple, just place yourself 3 to 6 feet away from the reader and take a glance in its direction, afterwards, the 3D surface scanner working in invisible near-infrared light will do the rest of the work.
On top of the face recognition there is also a card and PIN authentication system to raise the security level.
The reader is used for strengthening security at corporate buildings, banks, hospitals, airports and other types of entry points for the commercial and Civil ID markets.
