I have already seen a couple of giant chess sets located on gardens of hotels and other places, but I never saw one for sale until 5 minutes ago. If you are a chess geek and enjoy outdoors activity this is what you need to make some exercise.
Each chess piece measures between 43cm and 64cm tall, since the pieces are made of plastic they will probably fall with a bit of wind, and that is why you can fill special compartments with water or sand to make them heavier.
A fun way for beginners to learn this traditional game of skill and cunning and a totally new dimension to the game for established chess lovers
Price: £525 (close to $1,000)

I took this picture in 1998 for Garden Games Limited to promote their Giant Chess Set launch. It was in a beautiful garden in Essex, belonging to a friend of the man in the picture. I remember it as a wonderful day.
