If an image is worth a thousand words, an image mosaic is worth a million words.

The Image Mosaic Generator basically turns simple images into big image mosaics by using small and real photos from Flickr. In this example I’m using the Sign and Seal Desk Pen.

Most of the times the final result is pretty good, I believe the site scans and splits each original image horizontally to know what colors to use – afterwards it gets the thumbnail photos (that fit the color description) from Flickr and the mosaic is created.
