As you can see, the Bookman is a man-shaped bookshelf that is as much a sculpture as it is a functional piece of furniture. The Bookman comes in three different versions, and each one can hold around 100 books.

If you ask me, this sort of bookshelf would be best utilized in a children’s room – although I have my doubts as to whether or not it will lead to an increased interest in reading. However, they may glance at it from time to time on their way to watch television or to play video games – which is better than nothing.
