A Weather Forecasting UmbrellaStumble This

 Ambient Umbrella

The umbrella is the most often forgotten item on earth.  Sure, people forget to take an umbrella with them when they leave the house, but it is more likely to be left on a bus or train than any other thing that you own.  Cheap and expensive umbrellas alike are often misplaced.  It might seem a little foolhardy to spend a significant amount of money on an umbrella.  The Ambient Umbrella from Ambient Devices, however, is an umbrella that is well worth the expense.

The Ambient Umbrella receives forecasts from accuweather.com and will indicate, by means of a glowing light on the handle, if there is going to be precipitation within the next 12 hours.  Not only will it indicate if there will be precipitation, it will differentiate between the types of precipitation.  Different lights indicate rain, drizzle, snow or thunderstorms.  The canopy is a “Gust Buster” design; this should keep your umbrella from blowing inside-out in strong winds.

An interesting idea at a fairly reasonable price: $125
