From the sublime to the ridiculous, from all time classics to modern marvels, here are five hot toys to help you take the heat out of summer. If the classic Super Soaker does not tickle your fancy, there is a water balloon bazooka that can send over a dozen water balloons over 500 feet through the air. For something a little more tame, there is a human powered balloon catapult with over 200 feet of range. There is wireless mayhem with a remote control pool cannon. Finally, there is overkill in the form of a military spec riot control vehicle that can blast your opponents off their feet. With so many interesting water toys out there, it was very difficult to settle on just five. Here they are, enjoy!
The Balloon Bazooka bills itself as the ultimate balloon launcher. Claims like that demand investigation. I think that I am safe in assuming that everyone is interested in the biggest, baddest balloon launcher in the range. Therefore, we shall proceed directly to the Magnum Balloon Bazooka. This magnificent device is capable of firing up to two dozen balloons at once to distances of over 500 feet. The Magnum Balloon Bazooka is 8 feet long and the disclaimer warns you that it should never be pointed at people or animals.
Price: $199
For slightly tamer water balloon action, you can always go with a catapult / slingshot system. You can install one of these in a fixed position or work it with a couple of friends for some mobile action. The range is not shabby at all at 200 feet. Available through Firebox in the UK.
Price: $30
If you want some classic action, you could try to source a Super Soaker CPS 2000. The Super Soaker CPS 2000 is no longer made (the rumor is that it was considered too powerful). If you want one of these, you are going to have to find it on eBay. With a reservoir of over 3 liters, it can fire out almost one liter in a single shot, soaking your victim to the skin.
Price (if you can find one): Over $100

For pool based water action, how about buying a remote-controlled, floating water cannon available from Hammacher Schlemmer. You can control the water cannon from forty feet away and hit a target twenty feet away with a “gentle stream of water.”
Price: $129.95

If you really want to go overboard, you can purchase a Humber Pig with water cannon V.G.C. This riot vehicle is equipped with a water cannon that is capable of scattering protesters like pins in a bowling alley.
