Hot High-end PC Case: Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1Stumble This

Zalman Fatal1ty

There are PC cases and there are PC cases. Any old PC case will hold your parts, but a good quality PC case will be part of your cooling system. The Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 is designed for both form and function. It is a stunning PC case. When I walked into a PC parts shop in Akihabara, there were about a dozen high-end cases on the shelf but the FC-ZE1 that immediately caught my eye. The great lines, fine engineering and outstanding quality of the case really draw your attention.

Unlike typical cases that only incorporate a thin aluminum facade front cover, the entire FC-ZE1 enclosure incorporates firm 4-5mm thick anodized pure aluminum panels that prevent system vibration, reinforce system cooling by dissipating internal heat, and provide the highest in aesthetic quality.

The larger fan sizes employed by Zalman for this case means that significant airflow can be provided at lower RPM than most other cases. Low RPM translates to less noise and a more versatile PC. The hex socket screws make a powerful statement; the case almost looks rugged. Laser etched graphics are the icing on the cake. The Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 is a case that will keep even the most finicky system builders happy. They have achieved a great balance in the equation of form and function. It is great to see that high quality air-cooled cases are still being produced. With the FC-ZE1, Zalman have proved that it is possible to have an efficient, air-cooled system with minimal decibel output, and with that great Fatal1ty color scheme, you cannot lose.

Price: About $350
