Sony’s 70V Behemoth, the Bravia X7000Stumble This

Sony Bravia X7000

No price is given on Sony’s new giant LCD, but we are sure that it is going to be expensive.  The Bravia X7000 is huge, sports Full High Definition and comes with all the features that you would expect of a top of the range model.  Features include X.V. color, a system that allows you to view more accurate representations of color, backlighting, Motion Flow, to eliminate the oh so common blur that LCD televisions are famous for, 10 Bit contrast enhancer and it is viewable from angles up to 178 degrees.

On the technical side of things it has S-Force front surround, 1,500: 1 contrast ratio and a whole lot of ports.  You will find two D5 terminals, one S2 video input, three standard video inputs, one antenna input, three HDMI inputs, one PC input, one USB, one telephone jack, one 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T LAN terminal and one AV mouse terminal.  Screen size is 154.9 cm x 87.2 cm x 177.8 cm, which makes it about 5′11″ wide.  It weighs in at 80.5 kilograms without the stand and sucks a planet warming 650W (0.16 on standby).

Price will be updated as soon as it is available.  The X7000 is set for release in Japan in November, undoubtedly it will reach the U.S. sometime soon after that.
