Armani has set up shop in Second Life, allowing Second Lifers a chance to buy Armani clothing for their avatars. Trading a stack of Linden dollars should have you looking as suave and sophisticated as a virtual George Clooney. This all makes me long for the days when computer games had a point, whether it was rescuing Princess Toadstool / Peach or trading punches with the most dangerous man on earth. I have always enjoyed kicking cyberdemon ass and do not mind the occasional frag session as Master Chief. I get just about every computer game on earth, but not Second Life.
So, Armani have a store and IBM has a store and there are people that have turned virtual money into real millions, but to me the game looks more and more like real life; and more and more like work.
