Nintendo’s Wii only outsold the Sony PS3 by three to one in Japan for the month of August. That is down from four to one in July and a massive six to one in June. This is leading some to conclude that their may be a shift in the sales focus sometime in the not too distant future. The tide could be turning for the PS3, particularly with Gran Turismo 5 set for release in October. With present PS3 pricing, however, many would say that it is doubtful that it will find its way into as many Japanese homes as the much more affordable Wii.

I dont think many people are hot about Gran Turismo anymore. Gran Turismo 4 was not that fun to play and most of my freinds have moved onto greener pastures as the racing games on PS3 so far have had absolutely no damage physics, the AI is silly, and the games boring. There are ample alternatives now days and I think they would have been better off doing something with the Burnout series which is more popular. Overall PS3 is very dissapointing and I cant recommend it to any of my freinds.
