Lupine lights are amazing pieces of hardware, albeit overpriced. Overall, the systems are very well designed. Some of the niceties (cf. switch mounts), however, are not included with the system.

Of the five HID systems purchased by the bunch of us, the two Lupine systems were noticeably brighter. The debate on whether it was worth the price was not resolved.

The technological improvements in LED systems make it the best current value (the parts and labor of replacing an HID bulb costs $140). The optimum setup, especially for night trail riding, is a helmet and bar mounted light. The costs of the Lupine systems make it less attainable for many.
