Living in Japan, these speakers are not really practical for me. People are so damned particular about noise here that they would not be a good option. They are certainly the sort of thing that I will consider when I eventually make the long journey home. Exodus Audio have been doing the DIY kit thing for some time now and they are very, very good at it. The stats look like what you would expect from a good quality speaker. You should get a range from a low 30Hz to a respectably high 20 kHz and you won’t have to rob a bank for the pleasure.
The Kepler looks a little easier than some speaker kits on the market. The crossovers are pre-assembled and matching them with cabinets shouldn’t be much trouble at all. At a price of $299 per speaker, and with 0.75 cubic foot cabinets hovering around the $100 apiece mark for very respectable quality, the most you will be paying is $400 for one speaker. While that is not exactly cheap, it is significantly less than some comparable models on the market and a good way to set up a high quality sound system on a modest budget. It looks like they, along with a pile of other new Exodus products, will be hitting the shelves in the next month or so.
