I will level with you; one thing that keeps me from leaving the house is the fact that there is no large screen high-definition television there. What am I going to do if I must spend one hour without my precious idiot box. Thankfully, Runco has spared me from ever having think about that frightful decision with their latest offering, the Climate Portfolio WP-42HD, a 42-inch beast that can handle the rigors of outdoor life with ease. It can stand up to being splashed and sprayed intermittently, it can take extremes of heat and cold, dust and oil are supposedly no problem. It even has a DVI and RGB so you can hook up your PC for some poolside big screen Doom 3 action, or not.
Sarcasm aside, it is a nice package and I can see a genuine application for it in environments that are traditionally hostile to televisions, say greasy mechanical workshops and the like. The trouble is the price at $8,995 you need to be somewhat cashed up to afford it.
