The Pop Blaster is billed as a great way to take your MP3 player on the road. The problem is it is so incredibly massive. Seriously, if this thing were about half the size, it would be a great idea, but it isn’t so it sucks.

I am sure that people are not expecting miracles out of the Pop Blaster; it is a cheap iPod dock if ever there was one. For the asking price, you are probably getting about $15 worth of case and $25 worth of speakers. It is big, so it is not something that you can slip into a backpack or a travel bag easily if you usually pack to capacity. I do a fair bit of traveling, and try to travel as light as possible.

If you have to listen to your music without earphones, your best bet would be some portable speakers. The asking price of $40 is quite cheap, but as always, you will probably be getting what you pay for.
