The Battle Rig Pro is an interesting alternative to a desk. It is essentially a laminated plywood console with a Recaro chair perched in the middle. It is a great way to get your surround sound on without having wires trailing everywhere. There are shelves and cupboards and plenty of ways to keep your mess of cabling hidden. It comes in a few colors none of which will blend in nicely with fashionable furniture. This thing needs to be relegated to the basement, gaming room or up-market Internet cafes. It also comes in kit form if you are DIY inclined and want to save a few bucks.

Master Rig will only ship to Germany, Austria or Switzerland, so the rest of the world is out of luck. I do not really have the space for one of these or I might actually consider building one. No word on price, but I would say that it is going to set you back a few thousand. Recaro chairs don’t come cheap, neither does German carpentry. There are plenty of pictures after the jump to give plenty of inspiration to anyone that wants to try a home brew alternative.

As you can see from the pictures above, it is some nice craftsmanship. The wood appears to be plywood, with a choice of one of three laminates. Master Rig will also customize your rig for you, if you feel that you can create a better layout. It is a nice alternative to traditional computer setups and Recaro seats are comfortable, I give this effort two thumbs up.
