Until recently, a goodly sized portion of the price of a new digital camera was the memory. Shelling out for a memory card is often an afterthought for many people, they budget for the camera but they don’t budget for the accessories, even the necessary accessories. The new DSC-T2 camera features a highly respectable 4GB of onboard memory. That should be enough for even the most trigger-happy photographer. What’s more it has an attractive little touchpanel LCD and Full HD output if you want to watch a photo slideshow on your TV. It has smile-shutter technology which will make it take a picture when your subject smiles, that is assuming of course that you take photos of people. My subjects tend to be robots, gadgets and gizmos, so smile-shutter is a bit gimmicky for me.
No word on price yet on Sony’s sweet new offering, so you will have to just wait and see.
