A little over twenty-four hours remain on the auction for one of the hottest pieces of geek memorabilia that has been seen for a long while.  The phaser rifle featured in a number of episodes and was handled by at least two actors.  That makes it a veteran prop in my book.  Enough of the details, onto the weapon; it is designed to look used and the paint job does a good job of that, but there appears to be a little extra wear and tear.  The seller also makes the disclaimer that time and use have left it slightly tacky to the touch.

A little tackiness, that’s okay, it is made out of resin and it is from Star Trek.  The phaser rifle is painted and anyone skilled with a brush should be able to work a little magic on it, if they want it looking prime for their collection.  This is an awesome prop and deserves to be owned by a real Star Trek fan, not someone who is just planning to resell it.
