In the world of mountain bike riding, excess weight equals increased fatigue and decreased speed. Items that may be useful but are not strictly necessary are often left behind to save weight. A tire pressure gauge is one such item that most mountain bikers do without. Indeed, if you are a casual rider, there is little need. For those that race, however, it is a different story and tire pressure is a factor. John Wrightson’s pressure sensing valve caps are made for just such people. Each valve cap contains a battery and will be activated and display tire pressure if it is pressed. Simple and effective, just remember to screw them on and be careful where you park your bike, you don’t want anyone to borrow them.
No price yet on this clever little concept, we are waiting.
