You might want to go easy on the Samuel Adams Utopias before getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, unless you want to end up locked up like any of your favorite or not so favorite celebrities (minus the protection that celebrity status ensures and being a geek AKA everybody’s girlfriend). Honing your Tekken skills on the PS3 will not help you ward off shanks in the yard, but I digress. This is about beer and if you drink it responsibly you won’t end up delaying the next season of 24.
The reason why this one comes with such a strong warning is that it is not like any other beer on earth. What with the 25% alcohol that places up alongside your more popular fortified wines. Samuel Adam’s Utopias is a potent brew, meant to be enjoyed at room temperature. I seriously doubt my chances of locating any here in Japan and I doubt that anyone would send me a bottle for my enjoyment as the price is a wallet-busting $120 – $140 per bottle. Incidentally, that is a 24 ounce bottle, which will provide up to twelve drinks, so it is not quite the same as paying $120 for a bottle of beer.
By the way, if you live in any of the following states, you will not be able to enjoy Samuel Adams Utopias: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington and West Virginia.
