Adobe is going to be shipping a BETA version of Photoshop Express, it’s online image editing tool late this year and have the full version out next year. The scaled down version of Photoshop won’t have all of the perks of its heavier, much more expensive siblings, but it will have enough for people to do some minor editing and tweaking.
There is a little bit of info on what Photoshop Express will have. We know that you will be able to replace color, and touch up and tune pictures. There are three menu settings, “touch up, tuning and fun.” Touch up will let you touch up the pictures, fix blemishes, remove red-eye, crop, rotate, auto correct and sharpen. Tuning, will let you adjust things like color saturation and white balance. Fun, will allow you to play around with colors and images a little bit.
It’s not full-blown Photoshop, but it looks like it will be a cool little online toolset and great for people like me that need to do a little bit of minor picture editing on a regular basis, but don’t want to spring for a full blown version of Photoshop.
