I am not much of a do it yourselfer. All the same, the mainstays of any tool kit are important and the hammer is one of them. I have used my claw hammer for all kinds of tasks. Levering on a stuck sliding door, bashing in nails and breaking up a 50CC motor scooter so that I did not have to pay the dump fee.

For me the claw is just as important as the hammer, so to sacrifice the claw for a bottle opener, seems kind of silly. It might not be much of a hammer, but it does look like it would make short work of any beer bottle cap. This is an interesting bottle opener, but nothing more, fortunately it is cheap enough to justify the expense.
