Build your Own Massive Hotspot with the Extreme Range Router from Think Geek

Bountiful Router

If you had ever considered building your own hotspot, this is the router to do it with.  This monster will give you a quarter of a mile in all directions, with that sort of range, it doesn’t matter where in your house you are, you are bound to get a powerful signal.  You may or may not be aware that there are laws governing the maximum allowable strength of a wireless connection.  This router stands just this side of illegality.

There is not much point in getting a router like this unless you like to use your laptop outside.  It features 802.11 b/g, but has no N support, so you won’t be setting wireless speed records.  All the same, 802.11 g is enough for most purposes, and it has plenty of wired ports for you to plug into to get higher speeds.  It ain’t winning any design contests, but it is highly functional and ought to impress your friends.
