Huzzah for the World’s Most Impractical Keyboard / Mouse Combo Ever!

Orbitouch Keyless Keyboard

Look, I am exhibit A when it comes to someone that spends too long on a computer and runs the risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome. I use a computer for my work and play and do a lot of typing. A lot more than average folks do anyway. I am well aware that there needs to be a better alternative, but folks the Orbitouch keyless keyboard ain’t it! With the Orbitouch you “type” by moving the two knobs in different directions with your thumbs. Looking at that chart full of characters to remember and I have to say that “old dog” and “new tricks” are the first four words that come into my mind. I will take my chances with carpal tunnel.

This thing does have a place helping people who are missing digits learn to type again. Seriously, it would take some serious motivation to learn how to use one of these things. If it were say, $300 cheaper, there might be some motivation to learn, but at $400 it is just too much to risk.

orbiTouch Keyboard, DVICE, Oh Gizmo!
