PS3 firmware update 2.0 ought to be good news for most people.  Gamers now have direct access to the Playstation Store, so it is going to be harder than ever to control those compulsive Internet shopping urges.  Sony seems to be jumping on the whole social networking bandwagon.  They are offering a photo sharing option which Facebook / Flickr types might enjoy.  For the gamers, however, the exciting news is that you will now be able to remote start your PS3.  The interface is getting a little bit customizable, the word is that you will be able to create your own icons and themes.

You will also be able to create photo and music play lists.  The PS3 is becoming more and more like a full-blown PC everyday.
