Thermaltake has a new 1500W Toughpower PSU that looks like it will be able to power even the most ambitious PC fanboy dreams. It offers support for up to four GPUs, which some people will start installing in the not too distant future. Word on the street is that MSI already has the motherboard to do the job. NVidia are likely to follow suit, because I just cannot see them sitting idly by allowing AMD to take the high-end advantage.
I would like to categorically state that at this time most multi-graphics card systems are energy inefficient overkill. The fact is that a single high-end card is sufficient to enjoy just about any game at its highest settings. The only reason one would have for multiple cards is if they are doing something with multiple displays, but even then, I don’t know, it seems kind of wasteful. Save your money and your electricity for something useful.
